Sound Advice
was founded in 1993 by John Houldsworth B.Sc. MIOA as a Noise and Vibration Consultancy with the intention of bringing practical solutions and common-sense to an area of technology that is often plagued by an over-complicated and expensive theoretical approach. This approach is based on the use of the best instrumentation to gather data (Bruel & Kjaer Sound Level Meters) and more than 25 years experience in many parts of industry and commerce.
John Houldsworth was born in 1949 in Blackburn, Lancashire and holds a Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Bradford. He is a Member of the Institute of Acoustics. His acoustic experience has been developed since 1974 with GEC Telecommunications, British Aerospace and latterly, for 15 years with Bruel & Kjaer (UK).
